Anticipations turned disappointments. People who’ve gathered all their time to watch another disruption in the broadband industry have heard nothing but mediocre plans. If not, bad.
One of the most anticipated announcements of this year is Jio’s Gigafiber launch. Some people have been using this for months as a trial offer, and for commercial sake, that will be put to an end real soon.
After All, Ambani’s JioFiber Announcement Isn’t That Exciting!
On 5th September 2019, Mukesh Ambani’s led Jio Telecom has announced its broadband tariffs as a commercial launch. The plans weren’t that exciting as expected.
After all, we, the Indians will be fine compromising with speed rather than cost. All we need is something for free or dead cheap than quality! This isn’t what I was saying alone, but the Twitterati is.
Followers who’re waiting for the jio’s grand announcement since morning had outburst with anger and some memes after the official revealing.
In the 42nd AGM, Jio’s plans were unveiled as below.
There’d be a total of six different plans ranging from Rs.699 to Rs.8,499 a month subscriptions named Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, Platinum, and Titanium plans.
Starting from the cheapest, the Bronze plan shall entitle a 100GB + 50GB/month FUP (speed reduced to 1Mbps after FUP) for Rs.699. With this, the user shall get 3-month access to Jio Cinema and Jio Saavn.
Passing along, the next plans Silver (Rs.849), Gold (Rs.1,299), Diamond (Rs.2,500) Platinum (Rs.3,999) and Titanium (Rs.8,499) are all entitled to have more data speeds and increased FUPs.
Luring more, the higher plans (starting from Gold), users can get HD TV or Bluetooth Speakers along (depending on the subscriptions taken).
All these plans shall also come with a benefit of free voice calling (Fixed Voice by telephone or smartphone), STB connectivity and Norton Security for upto 5 devices.
