On 5th September 2019, Mukesh Ambani’s led Jio Telecom has announced its broadband tariffs as a commercial launch. The plans weren’t that exciting as expected.

After all, we, the Indians will be fine compromising with speed rather than cost. All we need is something for free or dead cheap than quality! This isn’t what I was saying alone, but the Twitterati is.

Followers who’re waiting for the jio’s grand announcement since morning had outburst with anger and some memes after the official revealing.

In the 42nd AGM, Jio’s plans were unveiled as below.

There’d be a total of six different plans ranging from Rs.699 to Rs.8,499 a month subscriptions named Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, Platinum, and Titanium plans.

Starting from the cheapest, the Bronze plan shall entitle a 100GB + 50GB/month FUP (speed reduced to 1Mbps after FUP) for Rs.699. With this, the user shall get 3-month access to Jio Cinema and Jio Saavn.

Passing along, the next plans Silver (Rs.849), Gold (Rs.1,299), Diamond (Rs.2,500) Platinum (Rs.3,999) and Titanium (Rs.8,499) are all entitled to have more data speeds and increased FUPs.

Luring more, the higher plans (starting from Gold), users can get HD TV or Bluetooth Speakers along (depending on the subscriptions taken).

All these plans shall also come with a benefit of free voice calling (Fixed Voice by telephone or smartphone), STB connectivity and Norton Security for upto 5 devices.

Pricing and Availability:

All you need to do is to register in the Jio portal/My Jio App and request a callback. If it’s available in your region, an executive will call you back and ask for more details. You gotta pay the one-time registration fee of Rs.2,500 via online modes and wait for him to come and install the things.

Note: Out of Rs.2,500 you pay, only Rs.1,500 will be refundable as a security deposit, and the rest Rs.1,000 is a non-refundable charge. And if you’re trying to pull out from the offer, do expect to receive your cashback in a span of 60days.
