Are You Afraid To Boost Your Blogging Profits By Following Up?

If that title caught your fancy I recorded an in-depth, long-form video for you to enjoy today.

Watch to see why following up with readers boosts your blogging profits:

I formerly had the blogging posture of a jellyfish. No backbone.

No courage. No clarity. Meaning I was terrified to follow up with my readers whenever I:

  • released an eBook
  • released an audio book
  • released a course
  • released a new consulting service

I feared that I would annoy my readers if I followed up 1-2 days after the prior release.

I didn’t realize that I was not annoying but reminding readers of the valued product or service I had to offer.

Example

A few months back I dove into this idea of following up with either emails, videos or social media mentions of my eBooks, products and consulting services. I decided to follow up with a quick reminder to buy the premium offering or to hire me.

Wouldn’t you know that my blogging profits skyrocketed compared to the rate at which I was earning blogging chedda a few months prior. I sold more eBooks. I sold more audio books. My Amazon Associates payments increased. I sold more courses. I landed more consulting clients.

Even sweeter? The volume of my blogging sales transactions increased as I increased my course and eBook prices and my consulting fees.

I made more money by charging higher prices and by following up with my readers.

One reader in particular thanked me that I reminded him to buy my newly released eBook with a follow up email. He noted how busy he was. First email was long forgotten. Totally slipped his mind. So my follow up reminded him. For which he was grateful.

He turned around and bought 3 eBooks plus a few audio books.

I was not annoying him because I’m offering valuable, beneficial, helpful products and services here. I was reminding him of the help I had to offer him through a short, quick email.

Why Most Bloggers Fear Following Up With Readers

One 4 letter “L” word scares the bejesus out of bloggers who ponder following up with readers: “Loss”.

Bloggers tend to fear losing email subscribers if they follow up with another buy call to action 1 to 2 to 3 days after the initial release. Losing subscribers aka “burning through their email list.”

Other bloggers – because of their money fears and because of the money fears of their mentors – believe following up annoys readers. Or believe following up annoys readers because their products or services aren’t helpful, valuable, useful, or are downright worthless.

Ya gotta face, hug, feel and release these unpleasant feeling fears and super uncomfortable feelings. To clear out the follow up induced fear. And to go from feeling like you’re annoying readers to reminding readers of the valued services and products you have to offer.

At the end of every 240 plus guest posts I’ve written on Blogging Tips I remind you to buy from my library of 126 eBooks on Amazon or to buy my 11 Fundamentals of Successful Blogging audio course.

This is one reason why folks find and buy my eBooks on Amazon after a “blogging” search. Reminding you. Not annoying you.

What If Someone Unsubscribes From Your List Because They Complain About You Annoying Them?

Their annoyance is their projection, their choice, their decision and their lack of of clarity, and their fear, and has nothing to do with you, your confidence, your clarity and the valuable benefits you have to offer, through reminding your readers of your valued products or services.

Carry on.

Remind your readers.

Boost your blogging profits.
