AT&T Could Carry Pixel 4 – Droid Life

After the Verizon exclusivity around Google Pixel phones died with the launch of the Pixel 3a, T-Mobile and Sprint were quick to jump on board. AT&T, for some reason, continued to hold out, though that may soon change with the launch of the Pixel 4.

According to an email sent to AT&T store managers that was picked up PhoneArena, select AT&T employees will have a chance to “seed” the Pixel 4 once it arrives in the coming weeks. To “seed” a device as an AT&T employee simply means a chance to test a device and represent it for your store, sort of as the go-to expert on hand.

Assuming this email is legit, this is pretty big news. Having the Pixel line at Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and US Cellular is a big deal, but adding AT&T to the mix means Google could have everyone a part of the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL launch, something they haven’t been able to do for the first three years of the Pixel line.

Will the addition of AT&T help Google sell Pixel phones, which it has struggled to do in the past year? It certainly won’t hurt. With that said, people are still going to have to decide if owning a Pixel 4, with specs not quite on-par with the competition, is the smartest buy.
