Avvo hires Jennifer Kline Shernoff as VP of Marketing, Jeremy Reitman as VP of Organic Marketing


Jennifer Kline Shernoff joins Avvo with nearly 18 years of experience in marketing, product management, technology, and operations, with 15 years spent at financial services companies. Most recently, she led the customer experience practice for Liberty Mutual Insurance’s commercial business and was responsible for setting the strategic direction across multiple consumer touch points. Prior to that role, Shernoff worked in product management at Washington Mutual. She holds a B.S. in finance and marketing from the University of Virginia and a M.A. in education from Seattle University.

Jeremy Reitman brings over 19 years of experience in digital marketing and project management to Avvo. Before joining Avvo, he was the Chief Marketing Officer at Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection, where he oversaw both traditional and digital marketing. He also led the organization’s first successful rebranding effort in its history. Prior to that role, Reitman helped secure Helloworld Limited as a top five online travel agent while serving as CEO of helloworld.com.au. He was also a member of the APAC Leadership Team at Expedia where he spent five years running various forms of digital marketing across the region.

Reitman will lead all search engine optimization and organic marketing efforts at Avvo. “The team is constantly seeking ways to make sure Avvo is in the front of consumers’ minds when they need legal help,” said Reitman, “and with a continued and strong focus on SEO and organic marketing, I’m confident we can help millions more consumers every year.”

Avvo promotes two employees to VP-level

Sayle Hutchison has been promoted from Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to VP of Analytics and Planning. Prior to Avvo, she was the Director of Finance for Microsoft’s Cloud and Enterprise division, where she created an operational structure to support high growth.

Bhavani Murugiah has been promoted from Director, HR Business Partner to VP of People and Culture. She came to Avvo from Comcast Cable, where she was the Director of Human Resources and led talent management, employee engagement and retention, and leadership and development across the organization.
