Black Lives Matter

CEO, Mintel Americas

The tragic loss of life seen in communities of color across the US – most recently with the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery, as well as the deaths of men, women, and children throughout America’s painful history – means that we must all take action to acknowledge systematic racism and address what equality, civility, and justice mean in America and worldwide.

We must all face the ugly truths and unacceptable racial injustices that plague our society. Like so many others, the employees of Mintel are in a state of outrage and immense sadness. The pain and injustice that many of our coworkers are feeling at the moment sit uncomfortably with all of our people. We stand with our Black colleagues, their families, and communities.

Most urgently, we are caring for our employees and their families who have been directly impacted. We are ensuring that all of our employees have access to professionals who can help process the different anxieties that are being experienced. We are also offering our support to local organizations that provide on-the-ground assistance to people in need through voluntary efforts and charitable donations.

In the days, weeks, and months ahead, our people are committed to listening, reading, reflecting, talking, helping, learning, grieving, healing, and acting to effect long-lasting, meaningful change in an effort to understand not just what is happening, but why it is happening.

The conversations are taking place within Mintel. We remain committed to fostering an inclusive culture where diversity is cherished. Mintel is here for our employees and their families, our clients, and our communities.
