Car Dealer Conference Speaker’ to Share ‘Undercover Evidence’


Young employees at car dealerships seldom open up to supervisors, but they do share their feelings with colleagues of the same age group.

So says Clint Pulver, a.k.a. “The Millennial Speaker,” who helps organizations train, engage with and inspire young generations.

He is on the speakers list of the 10th annual DrivingSales Executive Summit for dealership principals and managers. The Oct. 6-8 event is at the Aria hotel in Las Vegas.

Pulver’s presentation will include “undercover evidence” from people who say why they left or kept working at a dealership.

He defines his job as helping employers understand young people, and helping young people understand themselves. At the DrivingSales conference, he’ll also talk about the power of the “Mentorship Effect.”

Other speakers and agenda topics include:

  • Britney Muller, a search-engine-optimization expert at MOZ, who will describe different search technologies dealers should follow. She lives on a boat in Seattle and likes building machine-learning models.
  • Arnie Malham, founder of BetterBookClub.com, will present a framework for developing a sustainable and winning dealership culture.
  • Julio Gonzalez of Google’s automotive unit will present the latest on ever-changing consumer behaviors and describe how digital technology is affecting the buyer-dealer relationship.
  • Andy MacLeay of Dealer.com will explain how dealership fixed-operations digital marketing requires little effort yet offers big financial rewards.   

The conference also features an annual best-idea contest in which five dealership staffers tell a panel of judges about initiatives they spearheaded to increase sales and boost customer satisfaction. They’ll compete for $8,000 in prizes.
