Ninety9cents is a full-service, integrated advertising agency located in Cape Town, and is one of South Africa’s largest independently owned agencies. Led by founder and managing director Andrew Brand, the agency’s extensive client base includes leading brands such as Shoprite/Checkers, Ackermans, PUMA, Spur Group, Capitec and Distell, to name but a few. We are looking to employ a junior digital strategist to join our team in Cape Town.
Overview of the position:

This position requires the ability to analyse large quantities of data and information and identify what is most important for the company and its digital offerings. This includes a vast knowledge of current market trends, as well as competitors’ products and services.

This person must also be able to work professionally and cooperatively with clients and coworkers to build a collaborative work environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Consumer research 
• Keyword research
• Digital strategy across brands and campaigns
• Presentation development
• Client presentations
• Creative reviews
• Post-campaign reporting and analytics

Desired experience:

• Three to five years of experience in the digital marketing and SEO
• Computer skills are a must, and a strong knowledge of Google Analytics, SEO, SEM, and Microsoft applications are critical
• A keen understanding of paid media, social media, and direct marketing
• Experience in retail is advantageous
• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant area of study is preferred
