Florida Public Relations Association to host local summit


The Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) Ocala Chapter will hold the PR Regional Summit, a professional development seminar, on Thursday, May 2 from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. at the Southeastern Livestock Pavilion Extension Auditorium (2232 NE Jacksonville Road).

General session speakers include Alyson Lundell, Senior Public Relations Director with Universal Orlando Resort; Heather Fagan, Deputy Chief of Staff with Mayor Buddy Dyer’s Office (Orlando, Florida); and Claire Lessinger, Director of Special Events with the Tampa Bay Sports Commission. In addition to the general sessions, there will be four breakout sessions covering popular topics such as digital marketing and search engine optimization, social media, brand management, and leadership development.

Tickets are $85 for FPRA members, $95 for nonmembers and $50 for students. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. The deadline to register is Friday, April 26.
