An Iran Muslim who was accused of setting the California wildfires seen in a photograph burning the U.S. flag at a U.C. Berkeley protest is fake news. There is no truth that “Mohammad Islam” caused the wildfires in California or that he joined in the burning of the U.S. flag at an university protest.
Where did this fake news originate? Freedum Junkshun published the fake news article, reporting that Mohammad Islam caused the California wildfires and could be seen in a photograph burning the U.S. flag at a protest on the campus of U.S. Berkeley. You can read the fake news below.
Ever since illegal immigrant from Iran Mohammad Islam was arrested for setting the California wildfires, there have been many questions.
So far, we know that he came to the United States under a student visa while Obama was President then dropped out of school. He was supposed to return to Iran, but instead “disappeared” according to the FBI.
Islam did not resurface until someone captured a photograph of him leaving the area where the wildfire originated and discovered a can of gasoline and a blowtorch discarded. Fingerprints matching Islam’s were found on the can.
Much of his activities since November 2016 are still a mystery, but he was spotted on the campus of U.C. Berkeley in August at a protest in which a group of mostly Muslim students burned an American flag.
The protest was allegedly against Donald Trump’s supposed mistreatment of Muslims but as with all liberal displays, it turned into an anti-American hate rally.
However, there is no truth to the above story. A previous fake claim by Freedum Junkshun was debunked. As for this fake news article, the image used with the fake news article is actually attributed to Adel Hana of the Associated Press with the following caption:

Freedum Junkshun carries a satire disclaimer at the bottom of the page which reads:
We believe that there is nothing more precious than the mind of an aging conservative. Here we gather a boatload of bullhonkey, works of pure satirical fiction, to give the fist-shakers of the world a reason to hate. Reality is often in the eye of the beholder. You won’t find any of it here.
