Is It Possible to Find Someone on Facebook Using Their Phone Number?

Is It Possible to Find Someone on Facebook Using Their Phone Number?

Are you suspicious of your significant other? Worried your child is talking to someone sketchy on the phone? Or, are you merely tired of not knowing who that “unknown” number was that keeps ghosting you?

Maybe you’re being paranoid (it happens to the best of us), but a lot of people that have been in unfortunate situations think this at first, too. Wouldn’t it be better to know for sure?

By performing a reverse phone number lookup on sites such as GoLookUp, we can not only find out who the owner of that number is, but we can also see their criminal history, arrest records (if there are any), social media accounts (including dating profiles, if applicable), and even email and physical addresses.

Don’t do anything crazy if you find out the address of someone who may be having an affair with your spouse. GoLookUp offers a feature to email the results to someone. A better strategy may be to email them to your partner with an innocent question mark.

While it can be easy to get carried away, according to the Institute for Family Studies, a general social survey taken between 2010 and 2016 showed that 20 percent of men and 13 percent of women have had sex with someone other than their spouse while still being married. These numbers are scary, but they’re not high enough to ruin a marriage without knowing for sure.

Nearly everyone has a Facebook page today. And, when feeling suspicious of someone, we tend to want to “Facebook stalk” them (we’re all guilty). So, we’re left wondering …

Is it possible to find someone’s Facebook profile only having their phone number?

If the person who called you does in fact have a Facebook account, this should be relatively easy to find using services like GoLookUp. Considering that, according to Statista, Facebook has 2.41 billion active users as of earlier this year, it seems unlikely that this person could not have a Facebook.

According to an article published earlier this year on CNBC, Facebook now requires users to add their phone number under the guise of “extra security” and there’s no way to opt out. This makes it nearly guaranteed that if the person has a Facebook with the phone number setting set to “everyone,” they can be found using only that number with ease. Let’s be honest, not a lot of people have considered to even think about changing the phone number setting.

Plus, even if they had considered trying to hide their number, according to an article published in Tech Crunch earlier this year, even though Facebook now has the option to make phone numbers private “it’s still possible to ‘look up’ user profiles in other ways.” Therefore, it seems incredibly likely that you can find someone’s Facebook with only their phone number.

What are the benefits of using a reverse phone number lookup?

1.    It’s confidential

A lot of times “snooping” doesn’t feel worth the potential sense of “broken trust” if the person ever found out. With GoLookUp’s reverse phone number search, it can’t be traced back to you. So, there’s no need for your loved one to know of your suspicions should they come up unfounded.

2.    Find out secret information

This is the ideal way to find out who the person in your life that you’re suspicious of is talking to. Then, once you find out who it is, you can perform a thorough background check to find out if your child is talking to someone with a criminal record and/or if your significant other is hooking up with this person through dating apps. Plus, if you can find the suspicious person’s Facebook, you can see if they’re friends with your loved one as well.

3.    Peace of mind

While finding out incriminating information about a loved one may be painful, it’s always best to get these things out in the open. And, while it may feel uncomfortable to low-key spy on our children, it’s better to know they are safe.
