Kanye West saying that he is not black but identifies himself as a “dark skinned white man” in a recently deleted tweet is satirical news. There is no truth to a report that the rapper, songwriter, entrepreneur and fashion designer had published a tweet to his followers saying he does not consider himself black but rather “dark skinned white man” and, subsequently, deleted the tweet.
Where did this satirical news originate? Huzlers published the satirical news article on April 27, 2018, reporting that West tweeted out a shocking message to his followers by suggesting that he thinks of himself as a “dark skinned white man” and not a black man. LOS ANGELES – In the midst of the controversy surrounding Kanye West for revealing he supports president Trump, Kanye tweeted a shocking tweet which he almost immediately deleted. However a screenshot of the tweet was able to be taken.
Kanye West is claiming to have not identified as a black man since 2006 and that he identifies as a “dark skinned white man” which absolutely makes no sense. Is something wrong with Kanye? We expect the screenshot to be be viral and therefore addressed by Kanye himself.
However, there is no truth to the above story. West has been known to publish bizarre tweets to his followers and then delete them. Case in point with this funny by Buzzfeed displaying a top 26 list of West’s ridiculous tweets. Rather, the tweet and its story can be easily debunked based upon the source behind it. What makes the story funny is that West has remained defiant in his support of President Donald Trump despite a backlash from fans and peers. West has been issuing positive words to Trump. Specifically, West tweeted a picture of himself wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.

West has doubled down on his support for Trump, releasing a new song, “Ye vs. The People” where he debates Tip “T.I.” Harris, the Grammy-winning rapper who’s been an outspoken critic of police brutality and is no Trump fan. West’s opening salvo in the track picks up the thread of the recent controversy: “I know Obama was Heaven sent, but ever since Trump won, it proved that I could be president,” West raps.
