While Facebook took over from MySpace as the leading social platform many years back, LinkedIn has actually been around for longer than both. 

The professional social network was founded in early 2003, which means that this year, LinkedIn turns 15 – remarkable longevity in the social tech space. 

LinkedIn has since grown to more than 560 million members, in over 200 countries, and continues to expand and develop, adding-in new tools and features.
