Meet Our New Peeps!

After some active tweeting, outreach, and general calls for new additions to our talented team of WordPress engineers at WebDevStudios (WDS), we have brought on three new peeps to join our crew! Please meet Frontend Engineer, JC Palmes, and Backend Engineers, Evan Hildreth and George Gecewicz.

JC Palmes

JC joins our remote work team from Iloilo, Philippines where she is the founder of the WordPress Iloilo Meetup group and has organized two WordCamps. She loves contributing to the WordPress Core and is a firm believer that women can do anything they want if they just believe it, which is how Project I’mPossible came about. You can follow her on Twitter where she tweets about WordPress, WordCamps, and unbirthday gifts to herself. (P.S. She loves Alice in Wonderland.)

Evan Hildreth

Building websites since 1999, Evan learned PHP and MySQL as soon as he was able to afford a web host, and he’s been working with WordPress in one form or another since 2005. He worked for Furman University as a website builder while enrolled as a student, and most recently returned there as a professional to help maintain their websites. When he’s not working, Evan and his wife enjoy Broadway shows. Just ask, and he will quote “Hamilton” liberally.

George Gecewicz

George has been making things with WordPress professionally for almost six years. Here’s the kicker: this passion was sparked when he read Professional WordPress Plugin Development, which was co-authored by our own CEO, Brad Williams. So, you could say George joining WDS is like coming home to the mother ship! George enjoys reading, but only half-finishing books, and spending time outdoors. You can keep up with his open-source tinkering on GitHub.
