Lenovo-owned Motorola has launched a new smartphone in India under its Motorola One series — the Motorola One Action. As a reminder, the smartphone was initially launched in Brazil recently.
Motorola One Action Highlights
The Motorola One Action has its main highlight in the form of a 16MP 117-degree wide-angle action camera to record ultra-wide videos with great ease. The wide lens captures 4 times more area than its 78-degree primary lens. Also, the phone records ultra-wide videos in both horizontal and portrait orientations.
Apart from this, One Action comes with a 12MP primary lens and a 5MP depth sensor, totaling up to three rear snappers. The smartphone uses Quad-Pixel technology for better low-light photography. As for the front, there is a 12MP shooter for selfies and video calling.
Another highlight is the 6.3-inch Full HD+ display (2520 x 1080 pixels) with a 21:9 aspect ratio. The punch-hole display ensures really thin bezels for an edge-to-edge seamless experience.
Motorola One Action Specs
The Motorola One Action is powered by an octa-core Samsung Exynos 9609 processor clocked at 2.2GHz, coupled with 4GB of RAM. There is 128GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 512GB with the use of a memory card.
The Motorola One Action is powered by a 3,500mAh battery and runs Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. Given the fact that it comes with the Android One label on it, One Action will get two promised Android version upgrades and three years of security updates. Additionally, the smartphone comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and facial recognition.
But a big turn down is that the smartphone only supports 10W fast charging, which is less given that the similarly priced Moto G7 series (and past Moto devices) offers 15W fast charging for the same price.
The Motorola One Action is priced at Rs 13,999 and will be available to buy, starting August 30 via Flipkart.
The smartphone stands in the ring against the likes of the recently-launched Xiaomi Mi A3 that comes with a better Qualcomm processor, more RAM/ROM options, and better battery. It will be interesting to see how the smartphone competes in the arena.
