RCC’s Small Business Center hosts online campaign – News – The Courier-Tribune

ASHEBORO — Randolph Community College’s Small Business Center (RCCSBC), in partnership with VentureAsheboro, is hosting a Get Your Business Online (GYBO) with Google Campaign for small businesses in Randolph County.

With three events in three different cities, RCCSBC’s goal it to get at least 75 local businesses on the map with Google.

Speakers VentureAsheboro co-founder Dr. Jonathan Thill and Google expert Melanie Diehl will address marketing and sales. Verifying your business with Google can mean the difference between being found in a Google search and being buried in a list of endless results. This workshop will discuss the importance of search engine optimization (SEO) and what it means to GYBO with Google.

Attendees should bring their own device (laptop, cellphone, tablet, etc.) as the afternoon session will provide hands-on assistance with getting your Google business page online.

The first GYBO event is Thursday, April 11, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in room 103 of the Continuing Education Industrial Center on the Asheboro campus. To register, visit tinyurl.com/gyboasheborosp19.

The second event is Tuesday, April 23, in room 307 of RCC’s Archdale Center, 110 Park Drive, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. To register, visit tinyurl.com/gyboarchdalesp19.

The last GYBO event is Tuesday, May 14, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Liberty Town Hall, 239 S. Fayetteville St. To register, visit tinyurl.com/gybolibertysp19.
