Shasta College will welcome Starbucks to campus Friday.

The college will celebrate the grand opening of the coffee shop at 10 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The first cup will be poured by college President Joe Wyse and Vice President Morris Rodrigue, the school posted on Facebook.

The college in June 2018 approved a 10-year franchise agreement with Starbucks. The coffee shop is in the old Lance space in the school’s library building.

The school worked with Nichols, Melburg & Rossetto Architects on the new Starbucks space.

The Shasta College Starbucks opens at 7 a.m. Monday through Friday.

Shasta.com sells website services

Shasta.com, Redding’s oldest website design and internet services company, announced it has agreed to sell its website development business to Prime42 LLC.

Prime42 will take over website hosting, website design, search engine optimization and email services that are currently managed by Shasta.com, said Shasta.com President Andy Main.

Marc Pinnell owns Prime42. The company will be building upon and expanding Shasta.com’s current website marketing and SEO services by offering new products.

Shasta.com was established in 1995.

The sale is scheduled to close Friday.

Shasta.com will continue focus on high-speed internet services and high-speed wireless services that offers to rural areas of Shasta and Tehama counties through its subsidiary ShastaBean, Main said.
