Software marketing firm names new president | Business Observer

ST. PETERSBURG — PowerChord, a Software-as-a-Service digital marketing firm that helps multi-location brands and franchises generate local leads, named veteran business and technology executive William Volmuth president.

Volmuth joins PowerChord with over 25 years of experience driving growth at software, engineering and cybersecurity organizations across North America, Europe and Asia, according to a statement. Early in his career he worked in sales for Teco Energy, according to his LinkedIn profile. He also founded and ran Tampa-based cybersecurity software firm Praxsys Tech for more than a decade.

As President at PowerChord, Volmuth will focus on leading the company as a product-first organization, the release states. He will also guide PowerChord toward more emerging technologies that connect online consumers with local stores.

“For nearly two decades, William has built an impressive track record of strategic and efficient software development,” PowerChord Chairman Patrick Schunk says in the release. “He has proven to be a successful and trusted leader and brings to this position a strong reputation for developing people and inspiring teams around him.”

PowerChord’s niche is building brand specific, local websites for local networks. Using location-based data and advanced search engine optimization tools, the PowerChord platform converts online browsers into in-store shoppers.

“I look forward to increasing our focus as a product-first company,” Volmuth says in the statement. “I have never been surrounded by such innovative, hard-working and talented team members, and together we will take PowerChord’s technology to new heights.”
