V.League side HAGL FC appoint former Park Hang-seo assistant Lee Tae-hoon as head coach

V.League side Hoang Anh Gia Lai(HAGL) FC head coach Duong Minh Ninh has resigned from his post after the side’s disastrous start to the league season.

After the first six round of encounters, HAGL find themselves 11th on the table, with only two wins and four defeats. Though they started their campaign with a resounding 4-1 win over Sanna Khanh Hoa, they lost their way after it and the defeat against Quang Nam was the last straw.

The club was quick to appoint South Korea’s Lee Tae-hoon as the new head coach. The 58-year-old has previously managed Cambodia and assisted Vietnam national team head coach Park Hang-seo as well.

Upon his appointment, as reported by TheThao, the new HAGL head coach said, “I will make every effort with the coaches and the whole team to build a solid team, a close playing style helping improve the team’s achievement in the future.”

His first match in charge would be against bottom-placed Thanh Hoa on 28th April.
