Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story.

You’re IT Will Power Marketing!

Three questions with Will Fitzpatrick, owner of Will Power Marketing.

Why did you start your business?

“Is this a joke?!” is exactly what I asked after a local marketing company delivered graphs, charges, and excuses.  I had just started my personal training business and like many new business owners, I made a sizable investment in marketing that never panned out. I realized at that moment that there was a serious need for marketing companies that make good on their promises. I took course after course, mentorship programs, hired other companies and finally got it. I grew my small personal training business from 1 trainer (me) to 5 trainers with 2 locations and sold it.

I started Will Power Marketing to disrupt the online marketing industry and to help ambitious business owners grow their bottom line.

Our motto is: “We don’t take a swing unless we can knock it out of the park!”

Finish this sentence in regard to your business. “I wish I could…”

I wish I could… be the first marketer you work with.  Being the 3rd, the 5th is hard.  Putting your trust back into a marketing company is difficult after you’ve been burned a couple of times.  We started a leads program for blue collar businesses for this very problem.  The program allows them to pay per lead instead of paying a bunch of money and cross their fingers hoping it works out.

Best selling product/service?

Locally, SEO is our best selling service.  Search Engine Optimization, or in layman’s terms “Being Found on Google” has a phenomenal return on investment.  We only take new clients that we know we can produce results for.  Our clients love that we’re 100% exclusive.  Once we’re working with a certain type of business, let’s say a dentist in Bethel, we won’t work with another dentist in the same area.   Our pay per lead programs for blue-collar businesses is a big hit too, but most of our business from that is outside of Connecticut.
