The Bitdefender Internet Security 2020 is an Internet security software that is designed to protect your computer from all threats. It can easily detect, block and remove malware, cyber-attacks, virus and many other threats. You can choose the platform of your choice, whether its Windows, iOS or Android.

Installation is very easy, and the interface is very user-friendly. If you have already used the Bitdefender 2019 version, then there would be no surprises.

The Internet security comes with the same anti-virus protection from the Bitdefender Antivirus 2019. It automatically blocks threats attempting to download to your computer from the internet. In some instances, it destroys threats before it even touches your computer. The ones that it didn’t destroy are sent to the quarantine folder so you can browse and delete it manually.

I purposely entered malicious websites who is known for malware and spyware and it worked very well. It automatically detects any threats and warns you on the screen whether you would like to proceed or not.

What I loved about Bitdefender Internet Security 2020 is its ability to postpone scans and notifications when you are playing games or watching videos. Something that has irritated me on other programs.

Meanwhile, scanning your entire computer could take a while using this software. Other programs seem to scan faster than Bitdefender,

Parental Controls

This is an awesome feature of the Bitdefender Internet Security 2020. This allows you to block certain types of websites that you want to deny access to your kids.
What amazes me is their add-on feature which consists of anti-predatory monitoring. It uses Artificial Intelligence to scan your child’s communications from messaging apps and alerts suspicious activities. The program can detect nude photos, cyberbullying occurrences, and inappropriate conversations.

Microphone Monitor

This feature of the Bitdefender detects any applications inside your computer that is accessing your microphone. This is to prevent unwanted voice recording for security purposes.

Password Manager

The software also has a password manager feature that can store your passwords like LastPass. It works very well with common browsers like Chrome, Internet Explorer and Firefox. They also have their own Bitdefender Safepay Browser that makes banking and online shopping even safer.

2 Way Firewall

Bitdefender Internet Security also has a 2-way firewall. This means you can block existing apps from unwanted connection to the Internet, and can also block others from connecting to your computer. This is great for blocking hackers and thieves from ever accessing your computer remotely.

VPN

It also has a Free VPN (Virtual Private Network) feature. This can keep you safe by masking your real location and IP address on the Internet. However, the Free VPN is limited only to 200mb per day. This will suffice for online banking, but not to stream movies.

Anti-Tracker

The Bitdefender also has an Anti-tracker feature which blocks websites from ever tracking your location. On top of that, it will give you a detailed report on which sites attempted to track and blocked. To enable the tracker, you have to install the browser extension available in the main menu.
