Chamber’s 2019 is filling up quickly


 

 

The new year brings with it a full calendar of events for the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce. Here’s a snapshot of the first half of the year if you’d like to update your calendar.

 The 72nd annual West Seneca Community Awards Dinner will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Kloc’s Grove, 1245 Seneca Creek Road. This year we will honor the following: Business of the Year, MKS Plumbing Corporation; Citizen of the Year, Joe Cantafio; Community Service Organization of the Year, Friends of the West Seneca Public Library; Educator of the Year, Carla Kruszynski; and Chamber Member of the Year, Foresight Financial Planners.

 A West Seneca Chamber networking and test drive event will be offered at West Herr Toyota of Orchard Park, 4141 Southwestern Blvd. in Orchard Park. More details will be released soon.

 Geico Power Lunch featuring Susan McCartney, Ph.D., M.B.A., director of the SUNY Buffalo State Small Business Development Center, will talk about incentives and programs available locally to assist small business owners. This event will take place from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, in the West Seneca Community Center and Library, 1300 Union Road.

 Women In Business Luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, at The Columns Banquets, 2221 Transit Road in Elma.

 An open Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors meeting will take place at noon Thursday, May 9, in the West Seneca Community Center and Library, 1300 Union Road.

 A Unyts blood drive and the Chamber Health Fair will be offered from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, May 10, in the West Seneca Community Center and Library, 1300 Union Road.

 Geico Power Lunch featuring Jeff Surdej, owner of Surdej Web Solutions, who will discuss the basics of search engine optimization for businesses. This event will take place from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, in the West Seneca Community Center and Library, 1300 Union Road.

 Geico Power Lunch featuring one-minute networking opportunities for all businesses and organizations in attendance. This event will take place from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, in the West Seneca Community Center and Library, 1300 Union Road.
