Instagram just announced brand new tools to help creators start their own IGTV series!

Viewers can now binge-watch their favorite series and subscribe to notifications so they’ll never miss out on new episodes.

The new tool is designed to give creators a chance to produce ongoing, long-form video content on IGTV – separate from other videos on their channel.

Ready to dive in? Here’s everything you need to know about Instagram’s new IGTV series tools:

The opportunities of using the new IGTV series tools are endless, and it’s a great new way for connecting with your audience and attracting new followers!

Creators have already jumped on the new series tools, including Yara Shahidi, Kade Speiser and Ingrid Neilson.

The new tool let creators organize their videos on a separate page, and includes a badge with the series name to separate it from other IGTV videos. When a viewer watches an episode in the series, the next episode will automatically be recommended for continued viewing.

Creators can also give their fans the option to turn on notifications so they are notified when a new episode is added to their IGTV series so they never miss new content.

Even though this doesn’t mean you’ll start seeing your favorite TV shows on IGTV, Instagram continues trying to make the overall experience a lot like traditional TV. It’s safe to say, you can definitely expect to see creators and brands spending more time creating continuous IGTV content for their channels.

Ready to create your own IGTV series? Here’s how to do it:

Setting Up Your IGTV Series

The new IGTV series tools makes it easy for creators to create an ongoing IGTV series to better connect with their viewers.

To get started, add a video to your series by tapping “Add to Series”. If it’s your first video in the series, you’ll need to set up a series name and description.

The new tools also make it easy to add existing IGTV content to a series! Just select the IGTV tab from your profile, tap on the video you’d like to add, and click ‘Edit’.

You’ll see a new option labelled “Add to Series”. From here, you can create a new series or select an existing one. To finish, just tap “Post” in the top right corner.

If you’re a creator, you’ll also want to make sure to encourage your fans to turn on notifications for your IGTV series so they never miss out on new content!

To set up notifications, just click on the series title (or badge) and hit “Turn on IGTV Notifications” in the bottom right corner.

Creating different IGTV series are a great way to let viewers know exactly what they can expect from your IGTV. When a visitor knows what they can expect from your channel each time you post, they are much more likely to hit that “follow” button and keep tuning in for more.

We’ll be updating this post with more info as more people start using the new tool! But in the meantime – what do you think? Let us know in the comments!
