Josh Wyper’s Cover Of ‘Tennessee Whiskey’ By Chris Stapleton Did Not Move Diddy


Josh Wyper delivered his own rendition of “Tennessee Whiskey” by Chris Stapleton on The Four. Wyper talked about how his music is how he got his wife. Wyper talked about meeting his wife who was dating someone and how he wrote a song about her. She evidently heard his song and they soon fell in love.

Meghan Trainor asked him if Josh wanted to be a country singer. He said he is more of a rock and soul song and wanted to show it off. Meghan wanted a bit more from Josh. Charlie Walk asked who Josh is. Josh respond that he wants a little rock and pop and soul. He spoke about going into the ocean as he is shark.

Sean “Diddy” Combs asked what the song means to him. Josh said it is about singing with his mom and grandma. Diddy said the song is about pain and a deep desire. Diddy felt it sounded good but that it did not move him. Diddy told him to not be afraid of showing his emotion and to make him feel something.

Josh received four red rings and failed to earn the right to battle.
