Business strategist and digital marketing guru, Ayo Jeremiah is urging businesses to always spend more on marketing. According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, an incredible two-thirds of small business owners and entrepreneurs (66%) are personally responsible for three or more areas of their business, including marketing. However, when budgets are tight, marketing might be the first expense most will look to cut. That is where most businesses tend to start going on a downward spiral.

“Many are still yet to understand the full power of effective marketing. In my seminars, I always describe marketing has basically the vehicle that drives your products or services to your customers’ doorstep. Effective marketing drives customers from their comfort zones straight to your doorstep. If you are a business owner, I guarantee you that there is someone out there looking for your business, products or services. Many businesses fail because they stop making exponential profits and value add by losing customers due to poor marketing and low volume sales or production. Let’s face it, as long as your customers keep coming back, you will always be in business. No one has ever heard or will ever hear of a business shutting down because they have too many customers.
Poor marketing builds a wall between you and your consumers. Effective marketing is what builds the bridge between everyday businesses and financial success. So if the whole point of spending money on marketing is to bring leads to your business, cutting back on marketing doesn’t seem like the most logical decision, does it?
