Honor 20s & Honor Play 3 Launched in China Today. Starts From ¥999

Honor, the potential brand under Huawei’s cover has launched two new phones in China naming Honor 20s and Honor Play 3. While the primary was an addition to the current 20-series, the latter was one successor to the Play 2 model. Here are the specifications of them:

Honor 20s

Model 20s sports a 6.26″ (1080×2340) FHD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. With HiSilicon Kirin 810 SoC and Mali G-52 MP6 GPU, this model has storages ranging from 6GB or 8GB RAM with 128GB ROM storage and no option for expansion.

Runs on Magic UI 2.1.1 over Android 9 Pie, it has 3750mAh (20W) battery and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, it has USB Type-C 2.0, Bluetooth 5, GPS but no audio jack!

Honor Play 3

On the other hand, Play 3 sports a 6.39″ FHD+ (720×1520) display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Runs on HiSilicon Kirin 710F and Mali G51 MP-4 GPU.

With 4000mAh (10W) battery, this phone runs on EMUI 9 OS over Android’s 9 Pie and has an option for storage expansion upto 1TB via MicroSD. Has Bluetooth 5, WiFi, GPS, MicroUSB 2.0, etc as connectivities.

Both these models share the same display style of punch-hole design and have the same triple rear camera setup. There’s a 48MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, an 8MP (f/2.4) ultra-wide and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. Upfront, there’s a 32MP (f/2.0) for Honor 20s and 8MP (f/2.0) for the Play 3.

Price and Availability:

Model 20s will be available in the colors of Blue, Black, and White. It shall go for sale starting tonight and priced as

  • 6GB/128GB is for ¥1,899
  • 8GB/128GB is for ¥2,899.

On the other hand, Honor Play 3 will be sold from September 17 in Blue, Black, and Red colors, with a price tag of

  • 4GB/64GB is for ¥999
  • 4GB/128GB is for ¥1,299
