This new chipset was built on the 7nm process and shall have speeds of 2.3Gbps (download) and 1.25Gbps (upload).

Though touted to be 5G supportive, chips like Kirin 980, Snapdragon’s 855 may come without having the real 5G modems within them. That makes Kirin 990 to be the world’s first system-on-chip to have a 5G modem embedded within.

The chip is an octa-core processor with two high performing Cortex A76 cores (2.86Ghz), two mid performing A76 cores (2.56Ghz) and four A55 cores (1.95Ghz). Alongside this, this chipset has a dedicated NPU too!

Finally, they will be joining with Mali’s G76 GPU to handle hard graphics. The company’s flagship series Mate 30 series, which is set to launch on September 19 is said to be sporting this new 5G chipset.

These earbuds are, of course, the next level gadget in terms of audio enhancing advancements. The new Huawei’s Freebuds 3 are unveiled along with a 5G chip in IFA.

These are, plastic-stemmed earbuds seeming like Airpods, but better. Features, like detecting vibrations from bone and helping in clear vocals, ANC (Active noise cancellation), help the user much. These Huawei Freebuds 3 shall go against the likes of Apple’s Airpods and Sony’s WF-1000XM3 in the premium earbuds segment.

Best things work with its companion app. When connected, you can control what specific noises to cancel and let others in. That’s a new age of handling the tech to get precisely what we wanted.

These are well chargeable too. It does power up in a span that’s half of Airpods (wired) and 50% faster when wireless. This charge can stay for 20hours (in the case) and buds have a span of 4hours.

Finally, Alex Wang, VP of Wireless Devices Department of Huawei has said the price of these buds would be less than Apple’s Airpods (worth $199) but didn’t state an exact price. Availability in the US is doubted, but Europe and the other Asia Pacific shall be getting them in their stores from next month.
