Halloween is just a few short weeks away and that means it’s time to break out the popcorn and horror films. It’s no surprise that these movies are generally too scary for kids so a hashtag game on Twitter devised the perfect solution for horror film enthusiasts with children.
#MakeAHorrorFilmForKids, which became a trending hashtag in the AfterFFriday hashtag game Friday evening, mixed together classic horror films with child-friendly television shows and games. The hashtag game generated thousands of tweets, which included combinations like “A Nightmare on Elm Street” and “Sesame Street,” “The Silence of the Lambs” and puppet Lamb Chop; and even the Alfred Hitchcock classic “The Birds” with the popular app Angry Birds. Horror films will no longer be the source of nightmares with these kid-friendly changes.
